Power to Weight Ratio may be
used as an indicator of how fast a vehicle can accelerate.
For example the
maximum horsepower of a vehicle is 190 hp and its weight is 3518 lbs. This gives a power
to weight ratio of 0.054. The higher the Power to Weight Ratio the
faster a vehicle can accelerate. So in order to go faster you will need to
either: i) get more horsepower or, ii) lose some luggage.
